INTER-INTRA-CROSS dicsiplinary drawing
In this session we shared our experiences about drawing across disciplines and media. We enjoyed learning how blending choreography, dance, video, animation and drawing produces one (composite) artistic product. Discussions which followed provided us with examples of visualizing time, space and music and connecting otherwise separate domains. These intersections became visible as maps, graphs, abstract landscapes and constellations. We learned form each other to incorporate ingredients which (otherwise) remain outside our awareness, allowing us to merge and consider new meanings. Finally, we shared drawings which were result of our conversations. They conveyed the idea of freedom and integrity, opening up unforeseen possibilities of drawing connections among domains.
It is possible to say that we just scratched the surface of the inter-intra-cross and multidisciplinary practice, confirming that drawing plays a crucial role in depicting our ideas and concepts, however different and distant they may be.
